A University Student's Letter to Santa

Dear Santa, 

I have been a (relatively) good student this year. I have been kind to the slow-walkers in HUB, I passed almost every exam (pop quizzes don’t count), my whispering skills in quiet rooms have been SUPERB,  and you will be happy to know my procrastination habits have been moderate to low as I only had to pull two all-nighters to finish assignments! That number is way down from previous years, btw. 

For Christmas, I don’t want too much. All I ask for is gift cards that actually work on campus, good rapport with my teachers next semester, the motivation to go to the gym so I can drop this freshman 15 I’ve been holding on to for four years, OH! and a 4.0 GPA. :P 

If, for some strange reason, you can’t magically give me all I’ve asked for, please know that I really only want only want one thing for all the staff and students this holiday: a safe and stress-free winter break spent with the people we love.  ♥

Howdy. I’m Jobey-- a fourth (+2) year BA student studying Spanish Language and Literature and Women’s and Gender Studies. I don’t really know what I want to be when I grow up, but if I had to choose, I would probably say Shakira because her hips don’t lie. And honesty is important to me. 

I have two obsessions that keep my heart perpetually pleased and my bank account endlessly empty: shoes and travel.  To date, I have visited 14 countries (studied in three!) and I own more shoes than I care to publicly admit.
